This year's X Factor finalists are very poor quality. Do you agree?!
Question: I've said before that I'm no fan of Rhydian (I never know how to spell his name so it's probably wrong). He isn't dreadful, none of them are, but they just don't have 'it' do they. The show is called X Factor afterall. They all hit bum notes and sometimes shout or speak rather than hitting the notes.
If you think how many people line the streets for a chance to go on the show it makes you wonder if it wouldn't have been worth a stab at it yourself if this is the best they can get for the final few. Even I think that sometimes I should have audtioned and I sing like a goose f@rting in the fog.

The standard is far poorer this year than ever, the only one that can really sing is Rhydian, but have to agree, he should have been on another type of show, not exactly what XF fans look for is he?
He admits himself he is a classical singer, but you must admit, he has pulled it off every week so therefore deserves to win!
Leon and Niki are good as well, but Shayne and Leona they are not!

It seems to be more of a competition of who is the b*tchiess judge!

yeah i agree.
Apart from Rhydian and Nicky they are indeed a very mediocre lot this year.
I think they are hand picked for whoever has the weepiest sob story,nothing to do with their vocal ability
i think after the winner last year they will have to find someone really really special to even make a slight impact on viewers this year. everyone is expecting another leona lewis and lets face it it just aint gonna happen is it?
yes mousey the X is lacking in this years show, not a patch on last years , i think they must have rushed through the audition stages , hopefully the right person wins in the end

yea i agree...they're not really making gripping tv now are they?? none of them have the 'x-factor' whoever wins wont be able to follow in leonas footsteps anyway!!
yesi agree and i think its all a fix as the best one is out beverly and i also think that danni should of put that dominic through as he was a better singer than the one's she picked
I know what you mean, but look back at the winners in the past - only few have what could really be called the X Factor, don't they - look at Michelle McManus! My singing ain't all that, but since watching some of their appaling performances, I sing louder in the bath and I no longer care what the neighbours think!
I totally agree with you, if you look at all of them you cant really imagine anyone putting up posters on the wall of them. I think this years will be a washout like when that steve bloke won it about 3-4 yrs ago, i mean where is he now? singing in holiday camps i think.
I don't think any of them deserve to win. They are all just average entertainers, certainly nothing special. I've totally lost interest in the programme this year simply because of the lack of talent
They were all pretty bad, but Beverley was the best but now that she's gone what is the point

I do think that this show has lost it's way rather. It is supposed to be selecting an act that can make it with chart success.
Rhydian : Strange looking Welsh tenor. You can find thousands of equally talented singers in male voice choirs all over Wales. After a poor rendition of a Queen song, his second choice selection last night seemed to indicate that his chosen pitch for national fame will be the guest singer spot on Songs of Praise. (Don't knock it, Sir Harry Secombe did very nicely out of the job)
Niki : No relevance in the music scene of 2008. She did a rockchick classic and came across like a dinner lady in a frock.
Same Difference : Really retro and dated, but might possibly do something, providing they have a release that sounds like Pete Waterman on steroids.
Leon : Minority appeal swing singer.
It is really difficult to see where the show is going because there is really no mass appeal artist although Rhydian is being groomed for the role. I expect he will do a really patriotic puke-making rendition of 'Men of Harlech' before the show is over. (Remember Ivor Emmanuel's role as the singing soldier in Zulu ?) ...and if Danni Minogue doesn't remember that it'll be Waltzing Matilda !!!
The overall standard of the show is lower this year IMO - contestants, judges behaviour, production. But I love Rhydian, so I enjoy watching him every week. Same Difference are very talented, have got a market, but personally I don't want to watch kids t.v.! It's good fun, but I think they'll have to raise the standards all round plus make a few changes next series, if they want to stick around with this show.

Rhydian can sing very well. I always vote for him.
Yeah I lost interest in it weeks ago, there's no one special in it, no1 who really stands out like on past shows and that girl group, I don't know if they're still on it but they can't sing 4 toffee.

I totally agree, this year has been very poor, I don't think they put the right people through, although I thought Nicki sang brilliant on last saturday's show. I don't think they are going to find another Leona Lewis thats for sure
sorry i'm to busy having a life to be sitting in front of the TV watching lame , boring, been on the TV for ages shows. Why dont you show your support to the local pub quiz, dart or pool team or instead give your time to charity, or be like me pissing it up every weekend shagging ugly women.
