It is a parody to me of swveral movies especially the Wizard of Oz mam Max etc that it takes a lot to watch it that enjoyment is lessened .
This show has managed to rip off elements from Mad Max, Lord of The Rings, Bladerunner and Chronicles of Narnia and still manages to be o.k. It's not horrible but it leaves a lot to be desired. The acting is very mediocre except for the guy who played the Tin Man. You can't even compare it to the Wizard of Oz motion picture because the story and feel are so different. I was expecting a little more from the show but might give it one more episode. I was expecting slightly better acting, more polarizing characters, less forced humor and just a more visually immersive feel to the show and the world of the O.Z. (outer zone). I dunno what yall thought but I give it a 'C' so far, which is passing but needs improvement.
I may just not be interpeting this particular version correctly but I'm not really seeing a whole lot of political commentary like the original story had. I'm seeing some but just not as much.
I liked part 1. It is a lot more intelligent than the original. It is just enough like the original that you know what may take place, but more characters and scenes have been added.
I was skeptic. I love "Flash Gordon", but the Sci-Fi Channel series is terrible! I'll stick w/ the movie with this one.
But my wife and I thought that "Tin Man" had a great twist to it, and was very well thought out. We will definitly be watching the rest of the mini-series!
I actually like it. I like that's it's a darker take on a classic. The Wizard of Oz with an attitude. There are some elements I might have done differently...but overall I like the twists and turns.
