Programmes like the Jeremy Kyle show?!

Question: Are they basically just exploiting the people who are featured.

Answers: Are they basically just exploiting the people who are featured.

I feel very uncomfortable watching even a part of Jeremy Kyles programme. I have never watched it right through, but I find him a bully. I think the people who appear on it, do so to break up a very monotonous life, and get appearance money.

i hate them i never watch them. i feel they are all set up and paid money to make themselve look totally stupid.
shameful

but they put the selves up for it for they all want there 15 Min's of fame, so serves them right, anyway i think JK helps them.

i think they are a good way of helping people who have the same problems as them but are scared to talk about it, the shows also give alot of good advice and help. And as for Sarah G's comment about only single mums on benefit watch it, thats a lot of rubbish and immiture!

they get on my nerves. my mum watches them all the time. they are set up

Jezza is a living god. His programme preys on the weak and we love it! Long live Jezza.

No one is saying that the people with the problems have to appear on them. But most everyone would like to say they would like to appear on tv.
So when these people phone programs like the Jeremy Kyle show they not only want their problems sorted, but what stands out more is that their going on the telly.
The television sudios are not bothered bout that. They are more interested in putting out good television that people want to see in the studios estimation.
So, having said that, the studio will examine the problem the person is having and highlight certain points to such a degree that some points can be highlighted right out context.
Yes, shows like the Jeremy Kyle show can help, but also they can create more problems than hey are actually worth. But for as long as people want to go on telly for what ever reason, then there will be programs like Jeremy Kyle etc..

of course they are they make people look like trailer trash. I'm not sure why a person would want to air all their dirty laundry in public of course they don't have to worry about their employer or work colleagues watching have you noticed how they are all on the dole!I did watch one episode of Jeremy Kyle where a woman's 16 month old baby nephew had been horrifically abused and murdered by the mothers boyfriend that had a big effect on me and l was in tears the whole way through l wouldn't mind more story's like that instead of all the Jerry springer rubbish.

TOTAL TRASH, ALL CHATSHOWS OF THIS ILK? SHOULD BE CONDEMNED TO THE RUBBISH BIN. END OF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I never watch them because they must be set up.. If you had any of the problems that appear on those kind of programmes, would you try to sort it out yourself, or go on national TV to sort it out....I would rather do it on my own....it has to be a set-up and is only done for the viewing figures.

No, the people who go on them are basically just exploiting themselves.

No, the people that go on these type of shows know what to expect and if they want to set themselves up to be humilated on national tv by airing all their dirty linen in public then they have to deal with it.

Yeah, of course they are, otherwise there wouldn't be a show!
At the end of the day though people are choosing to go on these shows!

Well, the show was deemed as 'bear-baiting' in the newspapers a while back and i actually agree with that. The general idea of these shows is to help people with genuine problems and offer a sympathetic ear by the host when dealing with this.
However, Jeremy Kyle comes across as a bullying motor-mouth and thinks himself untouchable with his bodyguards around which is why he acts the Big I Am! And with an audience baying for blood, the atmosphere of the show becomes uncomfortable and often unbearable to watch. It is partly an exploitation of the guests but then they offer themselves to air their dirty laundry in public and they are responsible for their own actions so it's hard to feel sympathy for them because it's a personal choice to appear, they haven't been forced into it.
I would rather air mine in the privacy of my GP's office, which is what, i'm sure, most people would rather do!

NO those people deserve all they get, they know what they are getting into. they should stop sleeping with everyone, getting pregnant, and get themselves a damn job! They are losers and i love that Jeremy has a go at them.

dreadful.

carn't stand the patronising git best thing anyone could do is to chuck him out of a window

i hate that show its awfull these people need help not to be used to grab rating disgracefull
#

yes they are exploiting the people on the show but these people know that

the thing is that all of the people featured are not very well off so therefore they go on the show for the money and the tv fame

but anyway i hate jeremy vile, him and the crowd are 10 times worse of people than the actual featured people

They are SO Set up. Then again Daytime TV is just aimed at the unemployed and single mums on benefits so what can you expect.
