Under stress Maya will create a virus that will kill anybody immediately surrounding her. Until now, Alejandro has been the only "cure" for this virus by calming her down, but it looks like she's learned to control it.

Yes, that's what they do. However in the last episode, Sylar taught her to control the power herself and shot her brother.. so maybe they won't be "wonder twins" anymore. lol

I know what it is, but it's really hard to explain, but you kind of said it all...
Its like the blood goes to your head and people loose air....when shes like that or something, I wondered about that to, but if she probably gets to Saresh (sp?) than he'll explain her power....
Well, you have hit on the problem with this story line........... they haven't told us enough to make a logical assumption. I'm guessing they have done this for a reason. 2 heroes die in the finale, I have to guess Syler is going to die because they haven't done enough with his storyline and he currently has no powers except deception and if he got Maya's killing power, he'd just kill all the other heroes in mass instead of one at a time like before, then he'd just go around and steal all their powers. Where's the entertainment in that?
maya can create an infection that can kill people around her and even ten miles away and when her eyes bleed she can kill people.alejandro is like her cure for this infection
