I don't think there's anything wrong with Simon. I'm sure that all the judge's opinions are more or less 'scripted' before the contestants actually come out and sing. I'm sure all the bitching and moaning is all for show, just to get the public even more involved with it. You only have to look on sites like this one to see the effect it has. If the judges weren't being controversial, the programme would be less exciting. By the way, I think that Niki and Rhydian should be in the final, with Niki being crowned the winner. I think Leon is too young at the moment to handle the pressure of the music business (poor lad looks terrified everytime he sings) and Same Difference will do well as there is an opening in the market for their 'High School Musical' stuff, in spite of most of the population dissing them.
More to the point, how can he have said anything positive about Rhydian murdering a Queen classic? Freddie would not have been impressed, I am sure.
I think the judges criticism on the contestants, is more of having a pop at each other rather than the performance its self. Louis was right about Danni, she isn't the best singer in the world so how can she criticise on someone singing out of tune.

Simon really hates singers and music of course. He just does it for the pay check. He really wants to be a god and this is as close as he'll get.

I don't think the judges comments are really much to do with the acts performances its more like they are just trying to annoy one another. Too many egos requiring to be stroked.

Can't agree Sweets. Her first performance was absolutely brilliant. The second one definitely wasn't as good as the first.

the show dont pay as well as the U.S. idol one so he/s not that worried about any of them.
I do think that this show has lost it's way rather. It is supposed to be selecting an act that can make it with chart success.
Rhydian : Strange looking Welsh tenor. You can find thousands of equally talented singers in male voice choirs all over Wales. After a poor rendition of a Queen song, his second choice selection last night seemed to indicate that his chosen pitch for national fame will be the guest singer spot on Songs of Praise. (Don't knock it, Sir Harry Secombe did very nicely out of the job)
Niki : No relevance in the music scene of 2008. She did a rockchick classic and came across like a dinner lady in a frock.
Same Difference : Really retro and dated, but might possibly do something, providing they have a release that sounds like Pete Waterman on steroids.
Leon : Minority appeal swing singer.
It is really difficult to see where the show is going because there is really no mass appeal artist although Rhydian is being groomed for the role. I expect he will do a really patriotic puke-making rendition of 'Men of Harlech' before the show is over. (Remember Ivor Emmanuel's role as the singing soldier in Zulu ?) ...and if Danni Minogue doesn't remember that it'll be Waltzing Matilda !!!
To be honest Sweets all judges are best buddies of television all lovies together they do this every week as SCD is over taking them in the ratings.
Simon knows that he will not win and that Shame Difference may go next week and he won last year so sour grapes again.
Nikki was good last night he just knew both his groups were going to end up in bottom two and he thinks if he says things he will change public opinion what a short memory he has.

I think Simon's criticisms are designed to put the public off voting so that his own acts stay in and win! Niki was phenomenal as usual and she should be in the final - either her or Rhydian to win.
He can't bare the fact that Louis has got Nikki and he has Same Difference.
She was fantastic last night. I loved both her performances and she deserves to be there, unlike Simon's. I do blame Louis though for Simon's behaviour ................ he is so childish with his way of putting his point across, he sounds like a 6 yr old that's gone into "my dad's better than yours" syndrome. It's enough to test the patience of a saint !!
