Why can't an american win a british reality tv programme ?!
Question: david guest last year ( on i'm a celeb ) and now janice dickenson this year both would be winners why don't the british public vote for the ones who are clearly the best entertainers ? or are we too patriotic ?

It's not that. It's just that most disagree with you. David Gest was annoying, and so was Janice. Biggins, on the other hand, was pure class.

Its because Biggins is a legend and we've missed him. Janice was entertaining but We couldnt stand by and allow Biggins to be pwnd into obscurity. He's back! And he deserves his glory!

Oh come on,,,Janice and David both did extremely well.They beat all the other contestants that went before them.That's hardly classed as failure as it was the British public that kept them IN for so long.
dont know,but wish janice had won, she was hilarious and did so well in the trial tonight. i was so gutted for her when she dropped her main course on the floor, and when she did the trial and had those cockroaches tipped on her,she was literally foaming at tne mouth,and i felt so sorry for her, she obviously struggled,whereas biggins task was easy,he will let anything in his mouth lol:-)
There's too much anti Americanism going on so people don't play fair. They vote against the US not the contestant. It's a real shame. Also, poor Janice had the gay vote to contend with as well.

We dont mind Americans ,Janice was fab entertainment ,But she shouted down her opposition all the time ,A Lot of them would have shined more if she hadent She was so two faced ,one minute she was moaning about the others saying they left her out ,The next minute she loved them all ,I voted for Biggins because he was funny Compassionate and Fab Entertainment ,And Constantly real ,Yes they edited it to show a few of them moaning about Janice ,But lets face it she did enough digging and moaning What you see he is what you get with Biggins ,A Happy Chappie ,Last year I reckon it could have been fixed so that David dident win ,Because if you remember David said he would go straight home if he was King and as we know things were fixed then ,They wouldnt dare now,I was shocked and Gutted he came 4th ,it dident make sense that Prat Matt Willis won it,I would have thought Janice would have got a Percentage of the Gay Vote with her chosen Charity ,I know quite a few People who were voting for Christopher Biggins and none of us are Gay

Maybe for the same reason a British person can not win an American reality TV program*. People will vote for their own country. I didnt watch jungle but I did see a few minutes here and there while channel hopping and the black haired american woman (dont know her name) was the most annoying person I have ever come in to contact like that. She gives a bad name to Americans.

I think the answer to this question Bex is they can. I don't think it was because David and Janice were American. For me a worthy winner has to be a genuine person and I am sorry but Janice just wasn't and that is the reason I didn't want her to win - not because she is American. I am sure this will be so for many other people too. Not everyone has the same views but the fact that Janice came second I think speaks volumes because if it was patriotism then she wouldn't have got that far. Just my thoughts anyway! xxx

I don't know whether thats true or not but I do know Biggins for me was the winner over Janice although I thought she would of won if they hadn't put Biggins in afterwards.
David Gest was a worthy winner last year so I was quite surprised for him to go at the time.
Janice Dickinson - I just hate her. Not because shes american. But becauses she arrogant, loudmouthed and plays it up to the cameras.
I like a winner to be a nice good person because they deserve it in my opinion.
To add to this "gay vote" thing ... believe me when I say that most gay men would vote for Janice over Biggins. When it's an Over the Top Diva vs Jolly Old Queen, the former will win the gay vote every time. Any gay men disagree?

I'm surprised Biggins actually won- I voted for him every day but the odds in the bookies were for Jan the man.
