Why must they continue to kill The Simpsons? Can't they do the once-great sh!
Question: The show officially jumped the shark 7 years ago...why can't they pull the plug for the sake of the show's dignity? It's not like they need any more money; they're filthy rich! It should have retired six seasons ago. It's not the same show anymore and the characters are now so out of canon and underdeveloped, so it's no surprise that the lazy new writers haven't even watched the older shows...they admitted it themselves! They're making the show look bad as it used to be intelligent, funny and original with dysfunctional yet redeeming and interesting characters. I'm not saying there still aren't occasional laughs now and then, but the most part the new ones are just painful to watch.

I agree, they have gotten steadily worse. I think the best thing, which they have lost, is that the episode started as something random and by the end of the episode, had nothing to do with it. Plus, they don't have a lot of my favorite character, the sarcastic mustache guy who sounds like Charles Bronson. He always has a different blue collar job.
Yeah, I noticed that. The best ones were the originals from the Tracy Ulman show. Even the movie was really not what it should have been. Too many political plugs and other BS.
