So, why is it not ok for Dog the Bounty Hunter to say the word n i g g e r, but !

Question: like Chris Rock and many rappers to say the N word. Dog says it on a private conversation that was illegally taped, and then his show gets cancelled. When rappers say it, they wind up selling more albums. Also, they call women b i t c h es and ho's. What's up with that? That's so hypocritical, so 2-faced. The Rev. Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson should go after black rappers and comedians who say the N word with the same fervor as they do going after white guys like Duane Chapman and Don Imus. You agree? Also, Imus is going back on the air next week, and I guarantee Dog the Bounty Hunter will be going back on the air soon too. Afterall, it was the highest rated show on A & E.

Poor Dog, this got so blown out of proportion. You are absolutely right. If anyone's interested there is going to be a Protest in front of AnE in NY city this month on the 12th.

N*gg** is a term formerly used by white people to show a form of dominance and superiority over "blacks" regardless of status (Slave, Free-Slave, Free-Man, Educated, Mulatto).

Rappers and Black comedians (Chris Rock is not a rapper) are allowed to say it due to the context. N*gg*r is a term that is used to show companionship and relation just a term like due in their vocabulary. To put N*gg** in the same category of b**** and h* is in light of ignorance on the issue. B**** and h* are offensive terms and are not in the same category as N*gg**.

Rappers that bolster their sales with use of these terms are just hype rappers and are not standing for the community as a whole. People that use it to call themselves the word reserve the right to use the word because they are describing themself, or people of the same demographic.

How would white people feel if we all started calling them cr***ers or H*nkies?

Imus and Dog used the words as hateful and derogatory terms. They used it offensively and without respect that demonstrated bigotry.

Because they are black they have earned the right to call themselves what ever the hell they want.

I also do agree that it does set them back. But I also believe it is maybe some sort of defense mechanism, like we'll call ourselves n*gga before you do to show it doesn't hurt. They have turned an undersirable word into a term of endearment if you will.

I hope it will go back on air soon. I hadn't even heard any of this! Do you have a link with this story?! I LOVE Dog.

Hypocrisy, that's why. Just as you've said. Everyone except white males, especially white southern males, have free speech these days. White males, on the other hand, must walk on eggshells for fear of hurting someone's widdle feewlings.

/white female who is sick to death of political correctness

N***** Is a really bad name for white people to call the african american because it is a term that was used alot during slavery. come to think of it people at my school that are black call me cracker. cuz crackers are white! get it? well it think that is rude but no were near as rude as N******

You are 100 % Correct-----It is a " double-standard ".....it is hypocritical and it is 2-faced. Jessie Jackson called New York City " Hymietown " but he gets a " free pass " on saying that BECAUSE Jessie is Black . Al Sharpton falsely accused Asst. Atty. Gen. Steven Pagones of raping Tawanna Brawley 20 years ago. A grand jury failed to indict Pagones who lost his job & his wife + family thanks to Al's libelous & slanderous lies. Pagones won a muti-million dollar civil suit against Al but Al never paid a nickel that he owed to Pagones. Why did Al get a " free pass " on this civil suit ? It would appear that according to Jackson & Sharpton....Black Ministers are exempt from having to abide by the law.-----Will the hypocrisy continue to grow ??--- I think it will until such time that America may wake up & realize that Our Laws & Constitution apply to ALL people.....not just SOME people. I am sick & tired of making excuses for ANYONE because of their ethnicity.
