I notice on wikipedia that lois lane and clark can't be an offical couple in!
Question: Why cant they be an offical couple? in case ur wondering, its near the bottom of the wiki article of Lois Lane for the smallville version. And what does DC Comics have to do with smallville's plot line?

This is because Smallville are the adventures of Superman when he was younger and before he became Superman. Lois and Clark meet again when they are grown up and mature and after awhile they get married. Superman has everything to do with DC comics because DC comics created him.
Don't use wikipedia... I have been told that people can log in and change the info around.... So one can't be sure if the info is correct or not..!
Do not believe anything you read in wikipedia since anyone can go into this site and edit any entry to make it say what they want it to say.

Edit the entry to say Lois Lane and Clark Kent were married and had a little Clark who was Superboy and his secret Identity was Clark Kent Jr. Ace Paper delivery boy for the Daily Planet.
I think (not anything official about this statement) it's because of the time period that Smallville is supposed to cover. The storyline is about the time before Clark became Superman and Lois Lane (according to DC Comics) comes along after he takes on the cape and tights. Her character has been in the series; but the focus has been on Clark and Lana. DC probably owns the copyright to the characters. (I haven't seen any of the last season though as I can't get that station)
I think that because Clark will never be Superman in Smallville and seeing as Lois was with Superman not Clark I guess they don't want to mess with that part of the actual story since they've messed with every other story line. DC comic is the owner or Superman and therefor the producers of Smallville needed permission to do the show and probable DC gave them some guidelines. ^_^ DJ
Because, in the comic book, they hooked up when they were in Metropolis.
