Oprah's favorite things episode?!

Question: Okay, whenever I watch Oprah's favorite things, I always get mad. I can't afford half the stuff on that show. I wish that she would pick things that the majority of us would actually be able to get for ourselves. That would be much more helpful.

Anyway, I watched the show, and now there are so many things that I would just love to get. What were your favorite products from the show? Would you actually be able to get them?

Hey!!We can afford the blood orange sorbet $4.99/pint or maybe the Josh G. CD-but geezzz-who want's that???or the book either!!!! Like Oprah would be caught dead in those Uggs and i am so sure she uses the heck out of her 350.00 Kitchenaide mixer!!! yeah right. My mom gave me one of those a couple of years ago and it weighs like 1 ton-I have used it twice. $59 for 9 cupcakes??? Are you kidding me???$42 for 3 bars of soap??? YIKES..... To me this was her worst favorites show. And she must be getting some kickback for her charities from Williams Sonoma.

LOL. My husband was LHAO when he saw the fridge and said that is was half a small car as far as payment went and he didn't understand why someone would need a tv built into the fridge. As far as myself, I liked the uggs, but everything else was way out of my price range or something I wouldn't want, let alone give to someone else.

The slippers, lotions & body creams were my favorites. I like to splurge and be good to myself. I wouldn't want that refrigerator. I like the one have.

First and foremost I think it is wonderful what she has done for that town and the gifts they received , however most people I dont believe could afford half those items .
With people getting laid off , and prices going up in the stores and gas and all , some of those items are the least of most peoples worries .

Over Three Grand for a Fridge with a TV in the Door?
How lazy have we become that we can not go two minutes without watching TV?

Ellen does the same thing with her 12 days of Christmas Giveaways.

Additional Information:

The people who were present when Oprah gave them all the junk on the stage must pay Federal Income Tax on each the total value on each and every item she gave them.

Oh, they must also pay all the State Sales Tax from their State on each item the were give.

Nothing is ever free.

She picks HER favorite things....things that she likes...and then she gives those things away.

She knows most people can't afford a three thousand dollar refrigerator.

But to answer your questions....I liked everything....and I guess if I really wanted those things I could buy them. Maybe not all at once though....LOL
