The boys came back from their New York road trip. Hannah told Nick that she can't be with him and that she's not the same person she was years ago. She got back together with her boyfriend, who proposed. Nick had a bad few days when he lost his teaching job at the college due to his leaving town unexpectedly. His dad's girlfriend (who's the dean of the college) got him his job back but he was fired after he broke into another teacher's office when he was drunk. At the end of the show he sees Hannah in a bar with her ex and she is showing off her engagement ring. The football hero wanted to show the town that he's dating Melissa. Melissa's male friend told her not to trust him and that she's not in his league. It was homecoming weekend and when the town bimbos with big boobs tried to make a move on football hero (sorry, can't remember his name) Melissa freaked out and told him she wasn't his type. He then publicly made out with her in the town bar for all to see. Melissa realized that he's into her. The guy who is a shut in is once again dealing with his inability to go outside and his redheaded girlfriend is sticking by him.

first of all did you see the October Road marathon on the soap net channel???at the end of the marathon AND Saturday nigh there was a bonus episode in which it showed Eddie and Nick going to New York to get Owen{{ the one who's wife cheated on him with Ikey} anyways they bring him home because the wife feels horrible and send the two to get him.He comes with them because he loves his kids and the town,,, last night ,,,Big Cat proposes to Hannah and the camera shoots to everyone at the bar, Aubree comes back from Berkley and when nick shows up at school there is another teacher teaching his class because the Dean didn't know if it was going to be another 10 years before Nick comes back ,,, all bummed out he joins the others at the bar ,,, at that time it shows Big Cat walking in and Hannah hugging him and showing a good size engagement ring on her finger,,,, Nick is crushed,,, gets his job back and Eddie and Janet kiss in front of the whole bar,,,{ he turned down a sexy girl in New York}}} because he realizes his feelings for Janet and knows that all the other girls hes been with was just a physical attraction and with Janet he has physical and emotional attraction,,,hes no longer ashamed that shes heavy and not all that pretty{{ we will see how long THAT lasts}}wasn't really alot that happened<<< hope this helped
