Fox's "Terminator : The Sarah Connor Chronicles" -- will you watch!

Question: http://www.fox.com/terminator

I will admit that I am a big fan of the movies, but this might tarnish an otherwise good franchise. Even James Cameron declined the opportunity to direct T3, and as I understand, has nothing whatsoever to do with this series.

I am morbidly curious. I'll give it a fair shot.

I imagine it will be tolerable for Season one, but as with any Sci-Fi series, they will either not make it past Season two (going the way of shows like Firefly, Dark Angel, Space Above and Beyond etc.), or they will sell-out to the masses... at that point they will be watered down entertainment, something like Mutant X, or Xena...

Even Star Trek, classic of the classics in the Sci Fi category sold out towards the end... adding Jeri Ryan and Jolene Blalock with plots that had nothing to do with Sci Fi and were more some sort of Nerd Softcore Porn... offering little difference to Xenas lesbian scenes between Xena and Gabriel towards the later seasons. I don't mind them making the series more adult, but you can do that and keep a plot going too ie. Battlestar Galactica. It should merely be an aside to the plot (part of character building and the romantic relations of the cast), not the plot.

Its a dying genre, or whats left to survive is merely a sell-out genre...

I'm with you on this one. Plus, in some of the recent promos, I see Summer Glau, from "Firefly" and "The 4400" is in it. I really like her, so I shall watch and see.

My family and I will give it a try

I will give it a whirl but I don't have high hopes!

Definitely.

I'm ready to see what its like. I was skeptic of Bionic Woman at first but it is a GREAT show. I think with modern computers it will be just as good on tv as in the movie...probably better since graphics get better every year. I can't wait to see the action!
