The creator admits that the show sucks, so why do people like it so much?!
Question: I am talking about the show "Heroes". I watched the first season and as much as I cringed due to bad writing I couldn't stop myself from watching. I guess I was hoping it would get better. Now with Season 2 I have completely dropped the show completely. There are way too many incosistancies. I continually roll my eyes at the crappy story line and crappy characters. I also hate some of these actors. I do, however, love Kristen Bell and currently am watching it right now because of her.
So, why do people actually like "Heroes"? Reading a really good comic book is so much more rewarding.

It is laid out bad in places but overall it is a very well written show and has great plot value as opposed to most of the crap on television nowadays. I watch it every week it is one of four shows I do watch without fail I just don't see anything else on tv with much merrit. At least with heroes you now it is fanciful, superhero, action fun not a wannabe this is happening like so many other reality and real life shows. I guess in the end I am just tired of reality wannabe tv
And Tim Kring has apologized for the beginning of season 2 for being too slow to get to the point. When did he ever say the show itself is not good?
There are plot holes in every show and movies.
Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean everyone else will too. I bet there are a lot of people that liked Viva Laughlin (but not enough to get it past episode 3).
Personally, I like it because it's not only focused on the US, and it's very geeky at times. It's way better written than stuff like The Hills. I think it's brilliant.^^
Not telling you to like the show. If you don't like it, that's fine, but don't watch it just to look for flaws and then question the people that do like it.
I think it's because of the same reason as you. Except they got addicted to it. My mom watches it all the time. I think they want to know what happens and if it gets more interesting.
I am not a fan of Heroes. I am a Disney Freak and I always will be! So I don't know really why people like it.
To see what is next, good or bad, wise or foolish, we watch it to see what is next. Two people die next week. Let's see who they are.
Same as you I watch it to guess what is going to happen next.
