Is HEROES Ending For Good??!
Question: i just watched this weeks episode of HEROES and to Promo for next week said FINALE does that mean there will be no more episodes after next week or does that mean its of til they make more?
Could this be because of the writer strike?

It's because of the writers strike. The Writers Guild of America has been on strike for a month now. For an explanation, see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJ55Ir2jC... for good details. Basically, the writers currently get paid 4 cents for each DVD sold - an amount that was agreed upon in 1988 - and they want 8 cents. And, despite the fact that actors, directors and producers get paid for content streamed or downloaded on the internet, writers currently get paid nothing. They want a few cents of that as well. The studios have refused, therefore the strike. Production on many shows, Heroes included, has been shut down because the producers, directors and casts support the writers and refuse to cross the picket lines. Tim Kring, the creator of Heroes, as well as most of the cast, have joined the writers on the picket lines to show their support.
Heroes was supposed to have two volumes this year. Volume 2 was set to be 11 episodes, Volume 2 to be the second half of the season. Before the strike was called, they made some changes to Episode 11 so it could be a season finale, just in case. Talks between the studios and the writers resumed today. If the studio execs agree to let the writers have a few pennies, then production can pick up after the holidays and we'll have a full season. If the studios insist on being greedy, the strike will continue and the season will probably be over as of December.

It better not be. I just watched the episode tonight and it was great. I will petition if this happens. I think the season is just ending.
I hope not I haven't yet finished th e1st season I wait till they come out on DVD to save time with all of the comercials

a really EARLY season finale b/c of the writer's strike, I think, and that really stinks. I can't handle this whole scenario at this point. Innocent brother killed, sweet Monica abducted, Adam obviously evil but fooling darling Peter. Sylar back again and boy do I wish he'd just take a final bow. and now they tell us two heroes DIE next time???!!!! All I can say is Peter better not be one of them.
