Do you think the show "I LOVE NEW YORK" degrades and exploits black wo!
Question: YES!! IT DOES!! And it is sooo sad because there are so many intelligent, smart, and respectable black women out there. But when you turn on the tv, do you see these types of black women? NO! Instead you always see trashy, loud, ghetto women and New York just happens to be one of the wrost. I really can't stand the type of person she is and the fact that shes on tv. The media always love to show the stereotypical black women. I mean look at all the girls from Flava of Love. All the women was bitchy, loud, rude. etc. This is how the media has always proytrayed us to be. And yes, when people of other races turn on their tv's and see such images of black women. They automatically believe that this is how all black women are. Especially non-blacks who really don't know any black people personally or doesn't live in a diverse area. And can you blame them? No. They are simply basing their opinion of what they see. And if people always see negative types of black women on tv, then people will always have negative opinions about us. And shows like Flava of Love and I love New York are just adding the fuel to the fire.

No, NY does not represent all black people. There are plenty of black t.v. shows that portray black people in a positive light.
As well, as movies all black women do not act like NY. People keep taking this show so seriously, Let NY do her.
I don't think it degrades black women in general or black men. The only ones being degraded are those on the show. I can only hope they act the way they do for ratings. It's hard to imagine people truly being that ridiculous.

No, I just think she is a completely uneducated woman..including her mother. I never watch the show because she is just so irritating, imagine the guy that will marry her ???
Yea it does..but it also degrades all women to be honest..the way she acts is so unecessary..it makes us as women look cheap and easy
