Most Smartest Model: Andre doesn't speak Russian! So why does he have an acc!
Question: I didn't see it last night but on last week's episode, where they all went out for Daniel's b-day and got called into a secret interrogation room, he claimed he speaks 5 languages and some lady asked him in Russian "do you speak Russian?" and he was stumbling and making excuses. What the hell? How does he have an accent if he doesn't speak Russian? Do you think the show is fake and he is a paid actor?

He claims 'Soviet' because his family is from some country that used to be part of the USSR (Bulgaria or something?). He was speaking fluently in his native tongue with a lady at the party who was also from his native country.
Russian is one of the five languages he's familiar with, but I think there might be different dialects within that language. The lady/judge who asked him a question in Russian spoke quickly and mumbled her question. Of course, he didn't catch what she said.
Have you ever tried to ask an Hispanic person something in Spanish, but they don't understand what you said because you mumbled or used the dialect that you learned which may not be the dialect they speak at home?
I think Andre had a moment like that with the lady/judge. She's probably not Russian and mumbled a dialect he's not familiar with.
He said that he was born and raised in Russia until he was 3.
and im guessing his parents were Russian too so he probly got the accent from them.
hes also from ny. the ny accent makes his russian accent sound heavier.
I don't watch this show, but I have a hunch that, if you're questioning the integrity of anybody on the show, you're probably missing the point.
If his parents had an accent, then he would have one. You pick it up from the people who teach you how to talk.

he grew up speaking english. his parents first language was russian...they learned english....and so they developed and accent and Andre picked it up while learning english....
and can i just say he's the hottest guy i've ever seen in my life? right?
