Don't you think the Jaffa are lame (STARGATE Q)?!

Question: They're all talk!

Love Teal'c, so bored with the jaffa. They were introduced as the warrior race. Bred to protect their gods and make war on their behalf.

Yet each week they were easily beaten by the SG1 team. Ok, we could say that it was SG1 tackling them and we can't have the hero's lose.

BUT in the last few seasons everyone was whopping their collective hinny - look at the Ori, again - easily kicked their butts.

The reason why this bugs me (bugs as in I don't really care, but I like posting on this topic! lol) is because they were supposed to be a race bred as the ultimate warriors yet it seemed like the only people they posed a threat to was themselves (in Goul'd territory wars).

I think it's funny, in a lame way. :D

I've never thought about it in that way to be honest.

I'm not sure lame is the right word... but now that you mention it I can see your point. Yah there wouldn't be a show if they lost to the Jaffa all the time... but they could have lost at least once.

It could be that they always lost (to SG1 and the Ori) because they used fighting tactics they weren't used to. Different weaponry, different strategies, different... well almost everything I guess.

I don't know. To be honest I just really like posting about Stargate too XD.

That whole programme was extremely naff (although I was still ino it). If the jaffa were any good then SG1 would be beaten and that wouldn't help ratings.

the jaffe were trained to fight for the go'uld, they were not trained to understand the technology they used. the jaffe also have alot of in fighting over long standing feuds during the time they were enslaved. without symbiots to heal them they can't fight as soon as they used to. tretonin doesn't provide as much protection from death as a symbiot does.
the ori were defeated after years of the team learning about the ancient's weapons and how to use them. the weapon itself was built by an ancient, it was just put together by the team and sent to the galaxy where the ori live. they still have to deal with the people that follow the ori and their weapons, not to mention an ascended ori-si that will try to get her worshipers to take action against the non-believers.
wait for the movies before you count the ori and their followers out.
