Because when they first started MTV (music tv), all they ever did was play videos. Now they play everything BUT videos.
Because they don't play music anymore...it's all crappy "reality" TV now...JT was right - More music please!!
Mtv SUX! I was there when the first rocket went up for Mtv and only the folk that were there with me know what Im talking about. It should rename its name to Boring Reality Tv.
Maybe reality tv pays more, attracts larger audiences? I didn't watch the music video's anyway, but I do like some of the cheesy reality shows...
Their name is now a lie. Once they played music videos, and now they play shows that are usually not related to music at all.
I think they do this just to keep up with the population and what people want. Most people these days don't want to look at music videos on TV anymore, especially when we can just get them online and watch whatever video we want whenever we want.
Kinda sad to me...and MTV2 is certainly not just rock music. They play hip-hop and other genres on it as well (reality shows too...)
MTV fans have been asking this same question for years. I remember when I was little and it was all music videos. I like a few of the reality shows but the rest are garbage.
They could at least have less reality shows and more shows that are music related. They tend to repeat various reality shows over and over again...at least change it up a bit.
Honestly...I don't know why a musician would bother to even make a music video anymore...nobody even watches them anymore.
i totaly agree with you serious what happend? what the hell is the **** there play now it tottaly sucks i forgot when was the last time i saw MTV. I miss the good old days were everything was nothing but music even the VMA were the best now its all crap they should change the name to Tottaly white reality tv
