Dane Cook- Rough Around the Edges ... your opinions?!
Question: personally, i LOVE dane cook.
he is my favorite comedian and i absolutely love his random comedy. it's funny and something that everyone can relate to.
personally i don't like the sexual jokes he makes, but not every comedian's perfect. but asides from that, i think he is COMPLETELY hilarious! he's never disappointed me before this point about any show.
so i watched his show rough around the edges and found myself EXTREMELY disappointed. most of the time i forced myself to laugh to reassure myself that this show IS funny.
but the sad part was, it wasn't funny at all. unlike other shows where i laugh so hard i can't breathe, i didn't even smile at any of his jokes. and most of them were sexual jokes that weren't funny whatsoever. i was very, VERY diappointed and upset about his performance. i expected much better from him.
to those of you who've seen the new show, what were your thoughts and opinions?

Well, I didn't see Rough Around the Edges, but I did see his Tourgasm show and I agree, he overdoes the sexual jokes. His whole act tends to be full of these lewd jokes and nothing really creative. I felt one of his best shows was from about 7 years ago that aired on Comedy Central. That seemed really natural and creative. Now, he seems to tell these jokes that he thinks people want to hear but aren't necessarily funny. I think he's funny too, but now that he's gotten really famous, it could be that he's trying too hard to stay popular. It sucks. When he wasn't that popular he had great jokes; but now he's famous and tells mediocre jokes. Maybe that's the trade you make for fame : )
i too love dane cook. that show okay i guess..not as good as i thought it was suppose to be. =/
