Why aren't the producers of America's Next Top Model doing anything abou!

Question: If this were a work situation I think it would go to court. I'm pretty sure people are not allowed to persecute someone so much in this way, especially that jealous girl Bianca. Why don't the producers put a stop to it? What kind of example is this setting to viewers?
P.S. This has nothing to do with her Asberger's - I just think that the treatment of Heather by the other girls is ridiculous.

As distressing as it is to watch, the bottom line is that drama sells. None of those girls are helped in any way to deal with these kind of issues, which is one reason why I no longer watch the show. I used to enjoy it but feel that these young women are being exploited just to be a damn model, it's disgusting. I remember one season where they had to take pictures in a cemetary and one of the girl's friends had died that week, there was no care taken to shelter her from the photo shoot. It was do it or get sent home. That kind of behaviour is pathetic. The producers don't really care about the treatment any of the girls receive or the show would have been stopped a long time ago. Trya always says how tough she did it, but I don't think she has a real clue as to how tough the girls are doing it year after year.

They aren't doing anything because this is what the show is about: It's reality tv. In the real world, there aren't any producers to stick up for Heather.
Now I think it would be great if Heather stood up for herself, brought it upon herself to tell those girls off and stop the ridicule. And if she thinks it's serious enough to bring to court like you do, she should do that too.

I agree, it's ridiculous and rudee.

It is hurtful to see other girls pick on the shy and loner type girl. So far, the things they have said isn't considered slander otherwise I think Heather would have done something. Like Tyra said in the last ANTM, when she first started the buisness, Naomi Cambell said terrible things to her and now look at Tyra, she is confident and has well surpassed achievements Naomi hasn't. It takes a strong person for the modeling buisness, maybe this will help Heather strenghten her backbone for REAL models when she competes against them for a Versace Show.

The producers are not trying to set an example. They are trying to make money and conflict attracts viewers like flies to poop so look for more conflict and realize that this isn't "reality" tv. It's staged agression to attract the prurient. You might as well just watch televised wrestling.

She came into the competition knowing that her disability would probably affect her performance and ability to deal with others.Tyra has sent them a "Tyra Mail" asking for the "bitc hiness" to stop in the house. I even think they are keeping Bianca on see we can see her antagonizing of Heather. They could have kicked Bianca off last week for having a nasty attitude and refusing a challenge. Instead they kicked off Lisa, the one I liked the best. I also think we are seeing the worst moments of Heather and Bianca together. Sarah Hartshorne said in an interview that they mostly got along. Hard to believe, I know. I'd love to see Bianca watching the show now - seeing how she's been edited and knowing what a huge fan base Heather has.

Aside from the fact that it is "reality TV", instances like this makes the show more dramatic. These shows thrive drama.Producers love stuff like this. Why? One word: ratings! No one wants to watch a reality show without any drama or human emotions.

Because lesson 101 of reality television is: CONFLICT=RATINGS.

VH1 is letting the contestants do beat downs on each other on their stupid dating shows, and I've seen two that would have counted as simple assault and gotten a conviction in court so far this year. It's like the Jerry Springer mentality has spread all over cable networks, it's sad.

its not nice when you watch someone being mean to someone else

Becasue it makes good television. This is the kind if thing that makes a certain kind of viewer enjoy the programme.

i know what you mean, bianca is a b i t c h to her.
