Cranford On BBC - Anybody Else Think It's The Best Thing On Telly In Ages?!
Question: I don't normally like Sunday night telly but this pulled me in last week and I really thought it was beautifully written and well shot. Perfect television. Really enjoyed it. Anybody else looking forward to the second episode?

They present these shows so well, (BBC) , but the joy I felt was spotting all the well known stars. When you get good acting, it makes you feel as if you are there and you know them. Yes I am looking forward to the next episodes, and when it finishes I shall be reading Elizabeth Gaskell till christmas.

I loved it too, it really made me smile.
It's hard to imagine these days having so little to do as those women. I just love the respectability of them all.

I shall do now you have mentioned it. I must confess to forgetting about it. From what I have just been reading, it appears to be a programme I would enjoy. Hopefully they will give a reprieve of episode one.....

I thought it was wonderful too. But my OH slept all through it! He would rather watch Taggart, Yawn!
Everything with Dame Judi Dench in is fabulous. But I agree, Cranford was brilliant. I love period dramas, they're all interesting.
