It was Cycle 5 and the contestant's name was Kim Stolz. She's a VJ of some kind for MTV last I heard. And I loved her makeover hair, so props to you for going for it, if that is indeed the girl you are looking for!

It might be Janet, Ambreal or Lisa. They all had short hair and they were all eliminated. Hope this helps.
