Question: Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I think each of "The Bachelors" were Caucasian. I think they should choose a variety of bachelors from different races and ethnicities (as well as financial status). What do you think?

My sister and I always say how exciting it would be if there was an African American bachelor. Sadly, I don't see it happening. I don't think America is ready to see a houseful of black, white and Latina women battling for a black man. Let's face it! I can almost see the censors now. And imagine what controversy would arise if he picked someone of a different race. I don't think America is ready for that. ABC isn't brave enough to cast a black bachelor and forget about one who doesn't have money.
Good suggestion. Write to ABC & ask them why they don't mix the race up more. It could be interesting.

They have the right to choose whomever they want for their show. If those people happen to be all white, then too freaking bad.
Good point....I think they haven't done it because they want the "All-American" type on the show, get married, live in a house with a white pickett fence, in the burbs, and have 1.5 kids, and a dog....that makes for good tv.....lol.....
On another note, there is already a show.....its called "Flava of Luv" by Flava Flave.....I luv his show actually. :) was hooked on it.....
I think they pick the bachelor based on who their target audience is. In the after-show, all of those ladies in the audience were white. As long as they have a strong audience, they might not want to change anything.

I don't think the race has anything to do with it. Leave it as is, it's good.
But, if you wan't to play the "race" card, here is an example of why they don't, (in my opinion): Have you ever watched the Flavor of Love and I love NY? If you did, then you'll know why they don't..... they won't put that kind of "action" on primetime TV.
It all goes back to the "Happily Ever After" fairytales...the prince on the white horse and the fair princess.....good enough to watch for EVERYONE in the family!!!!!
