Last Episode of Roseanne?!
Question: I saw this again last night, not for the first time, and it still utterly confuses me. So, I understand they never won the lottery and that Dan died of his heart attack. I also read somewhere that everything from season 2 on was "made up" (or the way she would have liked everything to be.
Jackie was gay, I understand that. So, did she or did she not, have a son? The whole Darlene/David, Mark/Becky thing wasn't "real" too?
I think that last episode is the worst thing I have ever seen. I can understand maybe creating a story out of one season (like the lottery thing) but the whole show. You grow attached to these people, you know and then they do that.

It truly sucked didn't it? I felt it was a major cop out and a slap in the face to true fans. Everything we had been watching was turned into a figment of Roseanne's imagination.
Dan did die of the heart attack and no Jackie didn't have a child after all because she was gay. Darlene was the one involved with Mark and Becky with David.
I was so offended by that and I watched Roseanne regularly when it was on prime time. I even stuck through those crappy episodes when Jackie was dating the prince who behaved as an inbred hillbilly.
I felt robbed!
Edit: No they did not win the lottery. That was made up as well.

As far as I understand they did win the lottery [when the show went down the tubes, no offense] and Dan did have a heart attack.
Jackie did have a son, with Fred and Darlene and David had the baby.
This all happened, to my understanding.
I feel ya'... and I can't figure it out either. When Roseanne walked upstairs and I realized what was going on, I actually cried. Sorry can't help ya'.
okay, well wat happened was, becky was with david and mark was with darlene, through out the seasons you can see how david and becky were super compatible and how darlene always made fun of mark, but dan did die, and the lottery thing was fake as well, that was all i understood as weell, everything else flew over my head sorrie.
