To be honest I never noticed that aspect in this particular episode. I think Lynch realised from the start that Owen was onto him, and he was just trying to draw Owen in far enough so that he would end up fighting a Weevil, hoping he would get killed in the process.

The much more interesting question arising from this episode for me was - how come Owen was apparently able to communicate with the Weevils at the end? He obviously has some connection with them that Captain Jack and the rest of the Torchwood team don't know about. Could he be something other than human himself? I expect there will be further developments in series 2.

it's like all the guys come on to each other on Torchwood... now, i've only seen that particular episode once and it was about a month ago so i don't remember much about it, but i did notice that there was a lot of gayness in it.... (but as uncomfortable as that made me, that still didn't stop me from watching the show)
Anyway, the answer to your question is probably yes, but can't be for sure...
