Sara questions her future as a CSI when a past case comes back to haunt her, the 12 year old Hannah, who has to back up her brother one more time. Here it is, the episode that was almost inevitable. Sara has decided to leave, at least for a while. Things had been building up for a long time. Physically, emotionally and spiritually exhausted, you could see it in her face and her behavior. Burn-out for sure. And with the return of Hannah and her brother, that was simply the straw that broker the camel's back. Sometimes, you just have to run away and give yourself time to think. The kiss was sad and wonderful at the same time. She just didn't care who was around when it happened. Poor Gil. He didn't know what to say or do in front of the others, especially Hodges. The letter was poignant. She was afraid of meltdown in front of him. She will return, after all, she said yes when he proposed to her; and the letter never said otherwise!!
A teenager who got away with murder because his kid sister convinced a jury she killed his girlfriend nearly gets away with it again when Sara is unable to get a confession. The little sister, a child prodigy attending college at 12, manipulates Sara and won't back down, until Sara's not sure who did what.
