When the show first started, of all the "Heroes", Hiro was the only one who embraced his powers. Everyone else was either in denial or scared to death. Hiro, on the other hand, was like "Ooh, look what I can do", and even brought his best friend along for the ride. People love him because he's the kind of friend we all wish we had.

We love te innocence portrayed.
He kinda cute though =)

His acting isn't bad, especially considering that he has to fake the accent (he's from LA). But so many characters on TV these days are grim and gritty and emotionally stunted - it's refreshing to see someone who is fun and still successful as a hero. He's not the cliched cynical action hero that's taken over film and TV.

He's a great character, a great actor. I will admit Ando is a better actor but both are wonderful. Why are you prejudiced against Hiro?

Hiro and Heroes is ace.

I always thought Masi Oka was a better actor than the guy who plays Ando.
Hiro is awesome. He's the embodiment of childlike innocence, but yet still strong and determined enough to make a difference. If you'll notice, he's the happiest of all the heroes (other than when when he lost Charlie, which was very, very sad).
And Heroes has finally gotten back to it's old, awesome self. I'll admit, it kind of sucked for a while....but it's good again, thank god.
