Hate it.
It's cheap, and tasteless most of the time. It's also quite exploitative sometimes, not to mention it drains the funds from other programmes being made. It also saturates the viewing choice that's available these days and with the the blanket coverage that it get on TV and the coverage it gets in the newspapers and magazines makes it unavoidable.
It is well past its sell by date.

If I want reality entertainment, I can just go outside. Much more interesting than some stupid show, and it's interactive.
I'd like to say I hate it but really.........Ok I have to admit it, there's something evil in me that just loved seeing a celebrity faced with munching on a crocodile willy!
I love im a celebrity and the x factor, all the rest are rubbish.

Reality TV is NOT reality, it's nothing like it. It usually consists of putting together a bunch of people in the certain knowledge that they won't get on together just to see the result.

as i love most of the reality TV shows,
It is a good way to see the celebs as they really are, and to see their hissy fits.
hate it - why? Cos it makes fake celebrities and fills the TV with even more crap than normal and the mags are full of wannabes!
I can't understand wanting to watch a bunch of degenerate morons rip shreds off each other in a "pretend" house!
I do watch Strictly come dancing - but that is celebrities that at least you have heard of and they at least have some morals!
My opinion. It's crap. Cheap to make TV with profitable voting phonelines, I avoid all of it like the plague.
If I want to see a bunch of nobodys doing stupid stuff, I'll look out the window!

As much as I dislike the artificial ans stupid nature of reality TV, my #1 complaint about it is that it seems to glorify a "screw-your-neighbor, anything-to-win" philosophy, and it relishes in other people's problems.
Make a reality TV show about people working as a team toward a worthwhile goal and maybe I'll watch. There still need to be hot babes on the show, of course...

Love it! Especially Kid Nation, Survivor, ANTM. Why? Because it's so bitchy.
I have to admit that I have a weakness for some of the trashy reality shows out there. It's true that some are mindless shows and a big part of them are pre-scripted with outcomes known in advance....On the other hand, there is a small percentage of times when you throw a lot of alcohol and egos into the mix that gives you some interesting moments that are not scripted.
although technically it is far from reality (i mean realistically how often do you go eating kangaroo testicles and answering celeb Qs to win a t bag) these shows are compelling viewing. i think it is more the aspect of watching strangers with total opposite personalities try to survive together.
