Did you know that there are 5 genders in Species 8472? The doctor mentioned it in one of the episodes lol. Don't worry, I'll give you a big hug! - If that fails, just hire a klingon hitman :)
Watch the season five episode 'In the Flesh' and all your fears will ebb away as you see Janeway making friends with Species 8472 and they actually come across as a decent bunch! No-one is frightening once Janeway and her no-nonsense ways are through with them.
