However, it's still not as bad as Ugly Betty, Desperate Housewives, or any of the reality shows.
Bad dialogue + bad acting= bad show

Part of the appeal for me is the cheese, especially coming from David Caruso, who's inflection is hillarious.

I don't know but that David Caruso is one bad actor.He's so terrible,he looks comical trying to look cool.Half the time you can't even hear what he's saying because he's lowtalking.

caruso wasnt half bad on nypd blue, or in "kiss of death" with nick cage.
his acting on miami consists of talking through his teeth while taking off/putting on sunglasses- he makes bill shatner look natural and relaxed
well i dont know if it's the worst showl however i hate it and do not watch it. but i have seen some episodes and they arent good but i think ive seen worse shows....lost kinda comes to mind when i think about worse shows.
csi miami is only popular becuase horitio says all those one liners like when a car blew up behind him he walked away with his glasses on saying 'burn baby burn'. and becuase erics hot
