Hannah Montana: Positive Role Model?!

My daughter is 3 1/2 and has just discovered the show. We watch it together because not only is it funny, it shows how families get along and have fun.
I'd like to hear what everyone else thinks.

My 4 and 2 year olds absolutely love this show. Thankfully I can watch it too and it's not boring! I think she's a pretty good role model. She's a superstar who does her homework too! That's pretty cool. I would much rather them watch HM than Britney Spears or Lindsay Lohan.

I think Miley's a great roll model! I'd say the first one pre-teens and kids have been able to look up to since Mr. Rogers.
I just hope her early fame doesn't corrupt her like other child stars.
There's nothing scandalous about Hannah Montana, but I would think that YOU would be better in the role of role model. Teaching children to admire and emulate strangers is inherently dangerous. They should be able to look up to you and see all that they want to be.
yes. hannah montana is a really good show. i think it is because it show how problems can happen and then it shows how hannah solves it . i think it shows how you can still work out problems and be nice.
I think the show is fine. She's a good role model, My daughter likes the show as well, I don't encourage her to watch it because I think that too much TV is bad for you and she'd be better w/o it. But if she is going to watch TV, I say it's a good show for her.

im 13. i love that show because it is about falimy and life-ha even guys. Its real too. not like other shows where you know that the things cant really happen. plus shes a great singer and shes really pretty!!!!

She's definitely cute and I would definitely consider her a positive role-model.
its a pretty good show but Hannah montana is not as good arole model just to be a rockstar dosnt mean ur the world theres other stuff like the person who made th computer or answerrs or even electricity
Yea she can be BUT she has some disappointing fans after her new lawsuit. There are plenty of unhappy fans that were let down so how would that be a good role model.
Also for your 3 1/2 year old I don't think that show is not appropriate just yet for her age. It is designed for preteens.

I like how she seems down to earth and not all stuck up because she's a teenage celebrity.

Of the Disney Teens, she is the most respectful of her parents. This may be because he is her real father. What I dislike about the Suite Life and other shows is the lack of respect shown to authority figures. My son is not allowed to watch Raven for this reason.
It's one of my fave shows and your opinion its true, I also like her soundtracks.

The show is basically saying that anyone can do anything (like be a pop star) if they want to. This is the message that a lot of kids' shows are sending these day. Sadly, in reality, this isn't true. But at lest Hannah Montana is a better role model than Britney Spears...

I think Hannah Montana is sort of a hoe. Also she is stubborn and conceated. She only thinks about her and doesn't care about others. The world has to revolve around her as miley and as hannah. Also she is only 14 and she's kissin all these guys. The family gets along ok and it is funny but i dont think a 3 1/2 year old is ready for that quite yet...Maybe in the future but you can be the judge of that. Hope i have been a help =]
