well the writers tend to 'forget' history alot but remember this whole SL is happening the SAME Night- it's all one longgg evening-
i don't think that they mentioned it. but like you said the writers might have forgotten. and since sam's role is being reduced more and more, its not as important.
They had this bigger story to tell with the ball I guess. They probably only mentioned it last year to give Jason and Sam something to do and talk about.
I do not know if they mentioned it at all this. I know they a small anniversary of her daughter's death last year. I guess its was not important right now. Because all their concerned with right this min is getting off that island in one piece. Maybe when they get off the island they might have mentioned it. But - right now they are more concern with is getting off that island and surviving Zaccaria' reign of terror
