Why is the market saturated with finding love reality shows?!

Question: There's Bret Michals Rock of Love, Flavor of Love 1 and 2, I Love New York 1 and 2, Tila Tequila Shot at love, The Bachelor, etc. etc. How come the audience is shown the same thing over and over again and they're not tired of it?

people are stupid sheep.

Because they live vicariously through the love shows on TV since they aren't getting any in real life.

The real reason? They are inexpensive to make...and people LOVE the emotion of love.

Personally, for me, I find some twisted enjoyment in watching these people pretend that they are so genuine, and that they are good people who just haven't been able to find real love in REAL life. I love watching the "bachelor" or "bachelorette" string them along. These people are happy to be strung along as long as they get their two minutes of fame. Everyone wants to be famous, right? It doesn't matter how you get there, sell your soul to the devil, why don't cha? It's sad though because the downside is that young impressionable people, or just plain flat out dummies, watch these shows and think that that is how love is supposed to be. I pity them.
