It's like the list goes down every year lol,I only 'know'' a few in there and I use the term know lightly lol.
If you watch Eastenders, Hollyoaks, Changing Rooms, The Apprentice etc, you would know who they are. If you don't, you won't.
There are lots of mega "celebs" I wouldn't know if I fell over them.

Apart from Rodney Marsh and Janice, never heard of anyone of them. They are a bunch of washed up hasbeens, never were's or total unknowns.
Celebrity means someone who is celebrated because they are well known for something.
Change the name to "I'm a washed up never was, leave me to perish." Subtitle, "No will notice I'm gone anyway."

Didn't someone ask this question last year?...and the year before???? That's the whole point of the show, for heaven's sake. If you were a celebrity you'd be far too busy to commit such an amount of time to a show - and far too comfortable!

I have to admit there were some I didn't know like Janice and Lynne for example but there are others - it depends how much tv you watch or papers you read. I get your point though as what constitutes a celebrity these days? It seems the title goes to anyone who has had the remotest publicity.
