X-factor - Can you really see Beverly selling albums?!
Question: Personally I thought Andy had the better commercial package. He's got good looks, a good voice and he seemed a decent person.
Beverly was a bit too smug for someone who is seriously heavy on the 'mumsy' side of things to be seriously considered a commercial success.
Also - what was up with her doing the Whitney impression of 'Your Beautiful' by James Blunt - that was absolute rubbish! Why shout everything you sing lady? Calm down...

OMG someone who thinks the same as me!! I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thinks that - she does have a good voice, but it was totally wrong for that song!! She murdered it!! And Andy is obviously a lot much more marketable - he had a clear target audience of tween and teen age girls, whereas in all honesty - who would buy Beverley's records?!

i also didn't think she done well on saturday the song didn't fit her too well but andy didn't do a great job either i think they should have left to the public vote
I agree with you in that I can't see Beverely selling albums, but I have to disagree about Andy. I didn't like his voice or his look.
Beverely was amazing last week and for this reason I think Simon made the right decision.
I have to admit I was worng about Rhydian. I thought he's be out in the first round, but I like him now.
Simon did a much better job with Hope this week as I think making them too sexy too soon will be their downfall.
Finally if someone gave Leon a good song he could win.
I think it was more to the point of getting rid of one of DM's acts, as she still had 3 in it...and if hes gonna win again....(how many times does he need to mention Leona)....he needed to get rid of one of Danni's.
I liked Bev last week, thought she was awsome....like you though, think this weeks song was Shite.

I agree with Andy being a better commercial package, but she was better than him on the night................shame he went though, wish it had been her, overall, I did preferred him!
Most people who buy the albums are young teenagers and I don't see them buying Beverly, although she is a fantastic signer, I don't think the young people would want to put her poster up on their walls as they would Andy, although I thought Andy needed some oomph in him to get going. Same Difference are great singers but they have that too goody goody look about them, Leon is great and I hate Rhydian, but I think Nicky will definitely win the X-factor.
I can't imagine most of them actually being successful, apart from Rydian (spelling probably wrong), I did much prefer Andy to Beverley she does do my head in, but the one who really annoys me is Nicky, I'm sorry her dad died but get over it I really don't want to see her crying every week. So who do you think will win? We have a sweep every year, ￡1 ago picks names out of a hat and who ever's got the winner wins the pot. This year I've got Same Difference, I don't think I'll be going home with the cash : )

The show is all wrong because they are suppose to be looking for a talented individual regardless of age, size, looks etc but they end up selecting someone that is young, lacks personality but good looking maybe that's whats killing the music industry. Selling young good looking talent less individuals just for a quick buck. And recording companys drop these people just like that when someone new comes around for the ride...
Andy didn't have that great a voice and lacked personality. But I agree that Beverly probably will be very difficult to market. I think Hope probably have the best marketable changes, although I don't really like them, they will be easier to sell.
I also don't think Nicki is particularly marketable either.
i think both Andy & Beverly were not preforming to their best on Saturday but I think Andy would have gotten much better as the show went on.Once it was was both of them in the bottom 2 I think it was fairly obvious he was going
X factor - i think all of the contestants this year are very disappointing. would any of them be around 6 months after the show?

You're right, I can't see Beverley selling albums; if you wanted Nina Simone you just buy Nina Simone, and ditto Whitney Houston. That said, out of the two of them she has by far the better voice. Andy sounded as though he needed a punch in the diaphragm to get a bit of volume out of him! And his first few notes were seriously off key; lying down or not. It was just unfortunate for him that he was in the bottom two as I can think of a few other people that also deserved to go this week (yes, I mean YOU, Hope. And Same Difference).
Thank goodness for Rhydian who can actually sing (although that doesn't seem to matter a whole lot to Simon this series)!

it depends what she sings, if she has the right songs , there will be people to buy her records; the people who like the genre she sings.
