I see the resemblence also! The guy from SNL is Tim Meadows. What is confusing is that he started on SNL around the same time as Adam Sandler! Tim wasn't a stand-out member of SNL, and he was best known as the Ladies Man. They actually did a movie all about that character, but it did not do that well!
