Oh, I love that show. I had the same question! These are the possible reasons.
1. They are excited about getting mail from a supermodel.
2. They are nervous/excited about the competiton.
3. The producer tells them to act excited.
They don't always get that excited and some do more than others. Remember, these are young girls who are away from home, some for the first time. One of them might even become a famous model! Wouldn't you be excited?
Because the producers told them too.

Because they never know what it's going to say. I mean it could say: "Drop and give me twenty!" or it could say: "Pack your bags, you're going to Paris!"
It's always a surprise.
They're probably so bored anything excites them. Plus they word the mail so mysteriously it's fun to try to figure out what they're going to be doing and where.
