WHo else thinks that this Writers strike could be the most costly strike in hist!

Question: I mean look at how many shows and movies have to go to reruns because of it.

Answers: I mean look at how many shows and movies have to go to reruns because of it.

It certainly could. The studios are already starting to shut production down on many of their shows--in part so that they can then blame the writers for "causing" this--and so people who make their living on crews are also out of jobs. Soon, the ad revenue will go down--I know I'm going to boycott whatever trash they put on to replace our scripted shows--and people may get out of the habit of watching as much television. THEN how will hollywood recover?

Giving writers 46 cents per DVD (to the $9 profit the studios make) instead of 23 cents per DVD isn't asking that much.

PLEASE sign the petition which is linked, below, and let the studios know that you resent their strong-arm tactics! Write a letter. Mail an unsharpened pencil. Telephone them. But do SOMETHING.

I agree...could be devastating to alot of shows
then again, alot of the shows are extremely popular, and most folks dont mind the reruns, fortunately for shows like those....there will be footing left when the strike is over

Yes! Especiall because last time I read it was like 5 million or billion dollars or something like that. And that was in 1988! Now will be even more money! I think they should just gaive the writers what they want, so it won't cost them anymore money.
