Question: Are they planning on any future Star Trek TV series?
I think it would be great to have a series based on 100 years in future since Deep Space 9.

It will probably depend upon how the new movie performs. It's scheduled to start filming later this month. I think getting rid of Berman and Braga was a great move, and getting JJ Abrams on board is also good. The franchise needs new blood after being killed by B&B. There has been talk of a new series, but the studio is waiting on the movie results before doing anything. Zachary Quinto (Spock) has also indicated that the contracts for the actors are for multiple movies, so they may want to make a few more movies before another TV series.
Haven't heard about any new TV Trek. There is a Star Trek movie in the works, but as there is a writers guild strike currently nothing is going to happen on that for awhile I guess. They say that they are ready to go, but who knows for sure.
