Is The Office (NBC) Going to be Cancelled?!

Question: I heard on the news that because of the writer strike, the NBC show The Office is halting production. Does that mean that there won't be any more episodes, or that the season will be shortened? Haven't watched tonight's episode. Was it any good? Also, does anyone agree with me that the episodes this season have'nt been near as funny as seasons 1-3??

Not cancelled, just postponed. It was ok tonight. I agree it's not as funny as seasons 1-3 but, there has been alot of character shifts. I think everything will shift again, and hopefully it will shift back into super funny mode again. I hope this period doesn't last too long. "That's what he said!"

It doesn't mean that there will be no more episodes ever just until the writers are off the strike there will be no more. As for the other questions I do not know, but I agree this season is not as funny as past ones.

I don't think The Office will be cancelled. In terms of the writer's strike...no one knows how long it will last...hopefully not too long. Some shows have several episodes already written/taped well into advance but some only have a couple of more episodes. I hope they don't shorten the seasons of The Office and Scrubs.

I agree with you. The episodes at the beginning of this season were pretty funny, but the last couple of ones haven't been hilarious. Still funny but not as much as past seasons.

Tonight's episode is pretty good...especially at the very end.

I hope it's not going to be canceled because I love that show!!!

Its not going to be cancelled. Most of the actors on the show are also the writers and refuse to work so tonight is basically the season finale because I dont see this strike ending until at least May. By fall however it will be settled probably and the office will return.

no more episodes till the writers get the money they deserve

same thing for 24 my 2 favorite tv shows they better settle this thing
