Question: I love Americas Next Top Model & rarely miss a show. BUT, i missed the episode that featured the "smoking" photo shoot. As such, I wondered, why were Heather & Saleshia photographed together? Was there a reason for it?

The reason they said was because the picture was about second hand smoke
Th underlying reason why they decided to pair them up together for a second hand smoke picture was for "drama".
Basically Tyra and whover else wrtes the show, were exploiting Heather. She has asperger's syndrome. A disability that effects ones ability to socialize and interact with people. By pairing her up with someone in a photo shoot when no one else had to it is obvious that they were trying to demonstrate he disibility. It is apparently obvious that this is the reason after seeing the rest of the episode where they show even more of her difficulties, and when they show the other girl reactions and attitudes toward her. One girl (kimberly) even said that she doesnt want to get that close to her because she is afraid Heather will "cling" to her and states that "girls like her" cling. and acts like she knows stuff about the disability which is obvious she know nothing about or at least what she "knows" is all wrong. I was disgusted by that episode. I recommend you watch the episode on youtube to decide for self.
Yes. They're theme was the effects of second hand smoke
The photoshoot was portraying secondhand smoke and its effects. Saleshia was the smoker and Heather was the one affected by secondhand smoke.
No there was no reason, they just decided to put them together. It may also be that they didn't come up with enough roles to play for the photo shoot?
well you know how they have been giving each girl a certain type of thing to portay, well eah girl had the effects of smoking and theirs were second-hand smoke, so they had to do it together,
It was done showing people how second hand smoke affects people. One was a smoker ans one was the one affected by the second hand smoke.

THEY SAID THAT THE TWO WERE SUPPOSE TO BE FRIENDS IN THE SHOT. HEATHER SAID THAT SHE HAD SOCIALIZING ISSUES AND YOU KNOW HOW JAY IS ALWAYS STIRRING UP STUFF ON THE PHOTO SHOOTS. BUT HEATHER IS REALLY SHOWING TO BE A STRONG PERSON , I THINK SHE IS REALLY STANDING OUT AND TAKING SOME GORGEOUS PHOTOS. I ALSO LIKE LISA SHE IS SO BEAUTIFUL.
