AMC - Are you appalled by the mothers on AMC?!
Question: As a mother I would never put anyone before my child. With a deaf child, you better believe I would be getting him help so that he could communicate until the surgery...not talking to him like he could hear me. With a preemie in the hospital I would spend every minute that I could with him, holding him, bonding with him, letting him hear my voice. With a young daughter and a crazy brother on the loose I wouldn't be planning fake shootings or going on plane rides to hell risking my life while my child spends her time with a NANNY! When a man tries to kidnap my child and SELL her on the black market I don't think I would be planning a love connection with him. If I knew the guy I was interested in had lied to me and just got out of prison I don't think I would be risking my child by getting further involved. What is happening here? Any thoughts?

I understand all of the "it's a soap" answers...but honestly I had to turn the show off today...I just couldn't take it anymore. The whole story with Kendall has just pissed me off since Ian was born. I mean....I had a preemie at 25 weeks and I never wanted to leave the hospital! I also had a 2 yr old daughter at the time and all I can remember is spending time with both my girls. Kendall's whole ranting and whining "Spike is broken" routine is wholly annoying and just plain stupid on a couple of levels.
Do NOT get me started on Krystal and Adam....that is just beyond twisted!! I would emasculate and then decapitate someone who hurt any of my children. Trying to SELL them is just beyond ridiculous. No, I don't get where these "mothers" come from or why they are so nuts. I only thank goodness it is a soap and I don't really know anyone THAT retarded!!
I don't know why AMC is making these moms look so stupid but atleast some of the dads got it together. Tad has always been a great dad and even Jackson is looking good these days. I just don't get what's up with these writers.
well it is a soap opera....but i hear ya, but these soaps are unrealistic in a lot of ways...

Oh, I know! Krystal lost all my respect when she slept with Adam. I mean what he did was the absolute worst! Kendall should have been focusing on her babies instead of revenge. She should have been at hospital bedsides instead of twisting in her own warped mind. The whole Annie's brother story is a bomb.
I KNOW RIGHT IT'S like there focus only on drama not there kids, i really haven't seen anybody visting ian! all you see is thses parents wrap up on revenge! and i think that candle n erica need to recall what erica did in stealing maria's baby a long time back so who is she to dog grennlee as well why is babe forgiven and buddy buddy now with everyone after that whole baby switch, its so crazy!
I guess we just accept it as being Soapland and not real life by any means. Try not taking it too seriously or getting so appalled by it. Apparently you don't get that it's a soap.

It bugged me today when Kendall - who just had a baby- was wearing a shirt that showed her tummy !I know she is so thin, but come on.

I so agree with you. Enough of everyone saying this is soapland. I know it is escapism to watch it. But please, I've never known a mother to act the way Kendall is with her kids in real life. Especially if one is deaf and the other a preemie. What a lousy ECE for the kid acting like that. Hopefully Spike is too young to notice all she is doing.
Kendall has been a self centered witch since she first set foot on the program. I was surprised when they turned her in to a caring mother, because this 'me me me' attitude she's showing is true to who she is. Nobody else matters, only Kendall. I hope she loses both kids to Zach at some point and then runs off with Greenlee to some small island so we never have to hear from either of them again. They're two of a kind. Bring Bianca and Xarf back! Remember -- Kendall is the daughter of the Queen of Narcissism. She's only acting like her mother.
