Is there really a boycott from watching DWTS tonight?!
Question: After last weeks fiasco - i don't plan on watching again, but is there really some boycott from watching? i refuse to watch a show that is supposed to be based on talent and is really based on how many fans the celeb has. but that is just me. Not really sure if i understand the whole boycott idea. Then again i'm choosing not to watch so maybe others are too. Anyway just wondering.

I've been a fan of the show since year 1. I've also said since year 1 that the judges scores should be the majority of the decision whether someone goes or stays.
as a former competitive dancer I can say that if the judges gave me a top score, and someone else won because they had more publicity votes, I'd have to set their sequins on fire, and rip out their hair weaves!!
I wouldn't either, a few seasons, I watched with Stacy Keibler ( who had a LOT of previous dance experience.) and she lost to Drew Lachey! Everyone I talked to that voted said they voted for him cuz he was cute! And then Jerry Rice who sucked every week came in second! So basically, Stacy the best dancer lost cuz she doesn't have as wide a fan base! NOw, I heard that Sabrina Bryan (who AGAIN had previous experience) was voted off and she was the best! So, I'd hella boycott that!
Boycott, what is that all about other than to draw more attention to the show.
No one ever said the show was based on talent alone. It's based on the fan support AND the judges scores so if someone is on the show that is less popular than another person then they are going to suffer for it. Right or wrong it's the nature of the show.
