Will the Writer's Strike mean that the Studios will just concentrate on real!

Question: And stop making pricy dramas and sitcoms? Reality TV cut out a lot of costs. Little to no writers, very few special effects, smaller crew and no overpriced actors (i.e. contestants who would be willing to be on TV for free anyways). Is Reality TV the "outsourcing" of network TV?

Probably. That would be the worst, how boring. But it's not true that they don't have writers, they have tons who make up the so called "reality". The producers are just skirting the labor laws and not paying the writers what they should. That makes it a lot cheaper, although it is unethical. I'd rather watch reruns of old shows than reality BS.

Yep plus more COPS...lol

I really hope not. I am so sick of all stinking reality shows. I have enough reality of my own to deal with, I don't need to watch someone else's

Studios have been concentrating on reality shows for quite sometime now. They are cheaper to produce.

from what i heard on the news tonight..... it is going to affect shows like late night/ jay leno.... and day time talk shows like ellen..... a lot of the dramas have already saved up scripts so they won't be affected as much... depending on how long the strike goes on for..... i don't think it directly has to do with reality tv becaus the major networks play those as well.... the writers just want better pay.. benefits... etc....
