GH: Do you think Spinelli has lost his momentum and appeal in his almost?!

Spinelli lost his "appeal" and "Momentum" with me early on. I knew TPTB would ruin this character by foisting him into just about every scene, every day while shoving him into front burner status. The producer and writers thought they found "gold" and maybe they did...BUT....a little bit of him and his antics goes a long way and too much of a good thing (just like candy) can really make you sick. I am way past being "sick" .... and very resentful when other much better actors, and their characters, have so little air time because of the lop sided use of this character. They (TPTB) have over used the "gimick" that was Spinelli. ENOUGH ALREADY !!!!!
Georgie needs to have someone, even if it is Spinelli !!! She is so under used and what a great young actress. There surely has to be some kind of story line for her, she's earned the right...but that doesn't seem to make any difference to the writers.
I've watched GH since the 70's, when it was Number One in the ratings thanks to Gloria Monte.....She'd be spinning in her grave if she could see what's happened to what was once a great show.
He does seem to be overly obsessive about Lulu despite her protests and telling him she and Logan are going to try to work things out. While I understand he is a geek, why doesn't he notice Georgie better??? She DID drop some strong hints on Fri, however, and maybe that make him look closer afterall.
I think Spinelli was a very novel character.. I'm not so sure anymore. His cute love of the Blonde One made him very likeable.
I agree with you completely. Spinelli's a caricature; in small doses he's amusing (like back when he was rockin' the ganj with Alexis) but he absolutely can't withstand being a major character. He has no depth, it's all stupid nicknames and trailing after LuLu like a lost puppy. And you're right about Georgie, too. The writers refuse to let her do anything but prop LuLu, which is horrible because she's also a legacy character and a more interesting one in my opinion. But because she's not a vixen or sex symbol, she gets the shaft.
I really like it when they keep the scenes between Spinelli and Jason because I love the look on his face when Spin does something goofy!
They need to make Spinelli get over The Blonde One. She has said she only wants to be his friend. They should at least fix him up with a hot woman.....please dont let her be blonde. Thats all they really have is more blondes then anyone. So let him hook up with Georgie or some one from the night shift. Yes he has lost his momentum.

I still adore Spinelli, he needs to get over Lulu because she just will never see him in that way. I think he should give Georgie a chance but she may be leaving the show so that may be why they aren't really going there yet.
I think Spinelli's character has become boring. I'm tired of him being led around by the nose by Lulu. Its time for Spinelli to get some sort of backbone, and a new focus off of Lulu. She currently has 4 guys interested in her. She could spare to lose Spinelli as one of those interests.
I agree with you. Instead of Spinelli being so obsessed with Lulu the writers need to build up his character. I think Spinelli should pay more attention to Georgie, she appreciates him more than Lulu. His character is hiarious though. The scenes with him and Diane are great. I love the look she has on her face when Spinelli's babbling and she's looks like she wants to kill him.
Not for me. I find him amusing. I can't wait to find out who his father is.
