~I think there is a plan~
but the plan of making the audience wait soooooo darn long in between the seasons is a big disappointment. it almost makes me not want to watch. but then it comes back on and of course i do!

you would have to give me a clue as to which lost t.v program you are referring to...Dallas??

I don't know, I don't even watch lost. They might just write as they go.

Many times yes and sometimes no. It depends on the show. Some cricket matches are fixed similarly some reality shows are also fixed and preplanned.!

I think that it's a little of both. They have a plan as to where they'd like to end up, but how they get there, they're making up as they go.....it makes me mad too to wait so long between seasons, but when it comes back on, I'm always glued to the set & also record it on the DVR.

dunno what u mean plz specify ur question

The writers have unequivocally stated that they have had a plan from the beginning and all of the tie-ins reveal as much.

I think they have NO CLUE as to what is coming next ...that's why WE are so LOST!!!

All TV shows must have a plan and the story lines are done way in advance. But what you are sensing is a "story line" that is not making any sense. It can hold your attention for awhile but eventually people get tired of it. It was just like Twin Peaks, all the strange mystery kept my attention, especially the miget, but eventually it just didn't add up and it just got very silly and I lost interest. The writers of Lost started out very strong in my opinion and sometimes it's just too hard to keep topping yourself when you start out that strong, however I thought of several storylines that would have fixed it.

no i don't think so

I think that they had a plan at first, which is why it used to be good. But everything now is way too random. Perhaps they got lost themselves, along the way to stardom and found that America loves them anyway. Just not as much as they used to.

"Lost" reminds me of the comic books I loved as a child, so I suspect it's structured in much the same way: A long and complex story with a large ensemble of characters needs to be planned out entirely in advance if the writers wish to avoid creating contradictions and gaps which might be noticed by the viewers, causing a certain amount of embarrassment (and potential loss of profits) for the producers.

In other words, even if it doesn't make much sense to you, it's probably all planned.

is it still on I havent see it for a while last i seen they made it home or didn't they if it is still on I wish i knew what station could you let me know i loved it but i think they as making it up a little at a time

I think that there was a plan, and then they kind of lost (heh) their way when the show became a hit and nobody knew how long it was going to go.

However, they've supposedly gotten it back on track, since there was an announcement back in May that there will only be six seasons altogether (there have been three so far), which gives the producers a specific timeline to close off all the story arcs and tie up whatever loose ends they choose to tie up.

I think they have a plan it is just long and drawn out. But that's okay I will keep watching since I love the characters...
BTW for the question above it starts in February on ABC, whatever channel that is for you. :)
