Question: British TV was still in its infancy back then but here's a few samples. The 1950's had a lot more but Sci Fi was mostly on the radio. Few homes had tv in 1947 in UK.

Do you mean set in 1947, or made around 1947? Or showing at 19.47 (!)
You may want to take a look at info on a film called "The Day the Earth Stood Still"; I have a feeling that was made around the early '50s. Great film.
