Marian and her father are both under house arrest at the castle because Gisborne burnt down Knighton Hall where they lived and Gisborne and the Sheriff want Marian and her father at the castle so that they know what they are doing because they suspect them of being on the King and Robin's side (which they are). Marian's father is in jail in the sastle because he is paying the price for Marian stopping Robin from being killed. The Sheriff is plotting against the King and he is getting together an army of Black Knights to kill the King when he lands back in England. Robin and his gang and Marian are all trying to stop the King from getting killed.
