We didn't even have electricity until I was older, let alone TV.
We had heard of it, of course, but we only got to see it if we were visiting better off relatives or friends.
We went to bed with a candlestick and made shadow pictures on the wall.
(All say ".Aaaaahhh !" and listen to the melancholy violins playing in the distance.)

bagpus, bod,fraggle rock, bod was brilliant,but I remember cities of gold, one day in the staff room a teacher had got the box set and everyone was singing the theme, I didn't get to see it but it was funny to see all the staff so excited.I also remember being terrified of grange hill.
