We didn't even have electricity until I was older, let alone TV.
We had heard of it, of course, but we only got to see it if we were visiting better off relatives or friends.
We went to bed with a candlestick and made shadow pictures on the wall.
(All say ".Aaaaahhh !" and listen to the melancholy violins playing in the distance.)
