While I love this show, I kind of have to think that they are all trying to be like each other, and just kind of taking the best characteristics from each character to make one uber character..kind of like the best of the best...so to directly answer your question, yeah, I think Lexie is trying to imitate her big sister.

I don't know. I don't really like her but only because she just pops in 4th season. She tries to make connection with Mer even though Mer made clear that she doesn't want that and i don't blame her, I actually understand. I don't believe she is trying to be like Meredith. Why would she do that?? She's just try to fit in place where every1 know here as "other Grey", (like she said), She is just the bad sister that grow up with father.

I think Lexie is trying to be herself. You can see that in this episode...She said she hides in the closet so she's not recognize as the other Grey.
And she just want to be Meredith's sister, nothing wrong with that
